What is Psychotherapy?

Psychotherapy is about working together to look at problems and issues that are troubling you, then look at resolving troublesome beliefs, thoughts or emotions

Providing the opportunity for you to fully explore your life and experiences in confidence, safety and without judgement.

Will therapy work for you?

There is no easy answer to this question.

The BACP (British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists) say;

"Therapy is not a universal cure-all. Because you may be talking about very personal and often painful things, it can sometimes be difficult to keep going. Despite this, it is often worth the effort as you can be helped to work through problems"

The BACP's public website: itsgoodtotalk.org.uk

contains a wealth of information for anyone considering therapy, including information sheets, videos, links to research etc.
